I heard some people talking about a Linux thing for the computer the other day, what is it?

Linux is an open soure operating system for your computer.

An operating system is the collection of software that makes the computer usable by the user. You more than likely have Windows as your OS, unless your using a mac.

Open source means it is made/edited and improved by the public.

Linux differs from Windows in many different ways, from how it uses hardware to the look and feel of the system itself.
